Event #95: $1,000 Super Turbo No-Limit Hold'em
Giorno 1 iniziato
The final event of the 2023 World Series of Poker has arrived, as Event #95: $1,000 Super Turbo No-Limit Hold'em kicks off today at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas.
This will be the final chance for players to earn the prestige and honor of winning a WSOP gold bracelet, and the action is sure to be fast and furious from the beginning. Players do have one reentry available to them - and with a fast structure in play, chips are likely to be making their way into the middle quickly.
Last year's event was won by Jaspal Brar, who defeated Jesse Lonis in a quick heads-up match to take home $190,731 and his first gold bracelet. Brar's victory came against a field with 1,288 total entrants, which created a total prize pool of $1,140,980. A large field is expected because attendance records have been smashed throughout the summer.

Tony Gargano raised to 500 from the button after a few other players had limped in. Action folded to a player in middle position, who was the only caller.
The flop came 4♦4♥6♣, and Gargano's opponent checked. Gargano led out for 400, but his opponent decided not to remain in.

PokerNews caught up with the action with both players all in on the turn as the board read J♠Q♦10♠3♦.
Joseph Heerens: A♥K♦
Scott Keller: A♠K♠
Both players had flopped the nut straight with Keller holding the redraw to a flush. Better still, the Q♠ fell on the river, upgrading Keller to a royal flush sending Heerens to the rail.

Action was joined on the 7♠5♠7♣ flop. Ido Aboudi, the small blind, bet 2,000. A player in the hijack then raised to 5,600. Aboudi made the call before both players checked the 8♦ turn.
The 3♠ came on the river. After a few moments, Aboudi bet 3,200. His opponent raised all in, to which Aboudi immediately called and tabled 7♥3♥ for a full house, sevens full of threes.
"Nice hand," said his now-eliminated opponent, turning over 5♥5♦ for fives full of sevens before leaving the table.
